April 19, ELF_and_ALF_April_2012.pdf 2012  ELF and ALF.  Please join Central Valley Arson Investigators in conjunction with Roundtable #7 for an 3 hour block of instruction on the topic of the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front.  FBI Special Agent Joe Holzman will provide information on the history of these organizations, current trends, and recent case studies.  Location:  Kingsburg Police Department, 1300 California St., Kingsburg CA from 1000 to 1300 hrs.

May 12, 2012  Advanced Explosive Recognition, Dynamics and Effects.  Please join Central Valley Arson Investigators and CCAI Roundtable #7 for an explosive all day event.  This year’s topic will continue to touch on domestic terrorism with an emphasis on Explosive Dynamics and Effects.   Students will be exposed to a mix of commercial, military, and home made explosives.  It continues to be imperative that members of our public safety community (Fire, Police, EMT, etc.) are taught explosive recognition by understanding all aspects of explosives through dynamics and effect.  The Advanced Explosives Recognition course takes the training one step closer to reality by planting various types of explosives into vehicles commonly seen on our streets and highways. 

Location:  The Tulare International Agri-Center grounds are located at 4450 S. Laspina in Tulare CA. Signs and staff will be available in the morning to help guide all students to the classroom. Instructions to the blast site will be provided in class.
